waughtron666 There is no shortage of positive things to say about Prof. Bruss and his morbid musical excursions, so I'll just cut right into the rare meat here...THOSE RIFFS. Jebus Crust, THOSE RIFFS. Also, the vokills this time around are just plain putrid. They sound like the foul, strangulated gurgles and growls of an army of angry C.H.U.D.S. belched up from the filthiest sewer known to man. In short, Sir Bruss, this is a fetid, fecund masterpiece. You have bested yourself again! Favorite track: Infinity Cremains.

Metallurgical Fire Patrick Bruss has introduced me to some good bands, and his new album is no joke. It’s ferocious and fun horror based death-grind, or whatever. It’s damn good whatever it is. Favorite track: The Feast of Absurdities.

breathingsea The vaults of the CRYPTICUS open again to haunt your wimpy lives! Offering 8 absurdities to feast upon, this album will cause your earwax to ooze uncontrollably. Patrick Bruss is as always riffing his way through your flesh, while delivering some of the best death grunts, growls and gutturals the brutal death genre has to offer. The musick is encased by horrific synths and familiar sounds of terror that crush your senses mercilessly. Light-headed weaklings be advised, 'tis not for the squeamish. Favorite track: The Feast of Absurdities.

A fissure in the dark A view in to The Place Apart Wrapped in black webs of filth The only landscape is decay Blood lubes their wheels Machines unleash dread arcs And now infinity cremains... Masters of dead arts Wearers of the bestial marks They, the Archons of Cain Who derange all human fate With awesome will Here we hold back the dark And now infinity cremains... Hemlock is growing in the dust The mist has formed into a face Writhing trees dance in the dusk Their shadows clawing at my grave Spider creatures wrap bone steeples In acrid webs of lust & hate

Skulls culled from dark ruins Dreadful cairns light has never seen Rats crawling through my gristly dreams Memories of the Plateau of Leng Crawling down to where they spawned Herding there, they're writhing in the slime Long dead ancestors mine Bred human meat to be eaten like swine The hunger calls from my dreams The time has come for my ancestral feast: Corpse ichor & long pig meats Rats crawl from dark ruins A rodent legion like never seen From the vaults a putrid breed The rats in droves join in my feast Enter this parlor only if you are brave Burning candles made from fat of the grave Within these tunnels lies the truth that you crave...

Interning medicos, please raise your tools of trade A cornucopia of flesh is ours here to shape Henceforth, we vivisect this noon The subject's stirring? Pour salt into their wounds "First, Do Harm" Anatomists Anonymous We own your brain... This secret class, a syllabus of sorrows Put down your blades, I've deaths to grade 'til the marrow

The cursed febrile faces Haunt my sordid dreams Hear as my sword paints the cold mist Silent, in haunting shapes Forgoing all God's orders With wrath they're fast approaching Heraldic teardrops crawl They show their thin disguise Distrust their shining lies The daughter of all storms Has come to destroy Low men enslaved to opulence Research behind dead doors

about

You are cordially invited to your own last supper: "The Feast of Absurdities!"

Your horror host Patrick Bruss has served-up the gruesome sequel to 2018's acclaimed "The Nightcomers," bringing forth an 8-course Brutal Occult Death Metal & gruesome GoreGrind delicacy to confound the senses & challenge the stomach.

Ancestral misdeeds, cannibalistic sects, overly-enthusiastic vivisectionists, occult misadventure & Cosmic Horror simmering in crushing Death Metal riffery, monstrous GoreGrind gurgles, haunting pipe organ & atmospheric horror film synth.

Not for those with a safe palate... or a weak neck.

"A highly energized multi-headed hydra of metal sounds ranging from the SWEDISH OLD-SCHOOL DEATH METAL to GALLOPING THRASH to the blood spatter of early CANNIBAL CORPSE and I'm just getting started. There are many styles from all eras of extremity coming together here, at times even modern influences rear their putrid heads, if only for a moment."
- Trevor Strnad, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, THE OBITUARIST

"CHUD-deep death growls and knack for slicing off sick riffs. Throw in some sinister FRIZZI-INSPIRED SYNTHS and you have a recipe for some GROTESQUE GORE METAL."
- Jeff Treppel, METALSUCKS

"The album is dark and insidious and cold at the same time. Do you also hear the lamentation of the innocent from the catacombs? This year, CRYPTICUS has penetrated my intestines, pulled my intestines out around the room, sacrificed me on the altar during an occult ceremony. The new album has an incredibly evil and captivating atmosphere."
- Asphyx, DEADLY STORM ZINE
